Have you ever heard of Agenda 21? If not, don’t feel bad, because most Americans haven’t. It is essentially a blueprint for a “sustainable world” that was introduced at the UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1992. Since then, it has been adopted by more than 200 counties and it has been modified and updated at other UN environmental summits.
The philosophy behind Agenda 21 is that our environmental problems are the number one problem that we are facing, and that those problems are being caused by human activity. Therefore, according to Agenda 21 human activity needs to be tightly monitored, regulated and controlled for the greater good. Individual liberties and freedoms must be sacrificed for the good of the planet. If you are thinking that this sounds like it is exactly the opposite of what our founding fathers intended when they established this nation, you would be on the right track.
Those that promote the philosophy underlying Agenda 21 believe that human activity must be “managed” and that letting people make their own decisions is “destructive” and “dangerous”. Sadly, the principles behind Agenda 21 are being rammed down the throats of local communities all over America, and most of the people living in those communities don’t even realize it.

The Founding Fathers agree: an armed population makes good government. Numerous quotes from the revolutionary era make their intent extremely clear that individuals were meant to keep and bear arms for the protection of the country and the defense of its Constitution and Bill of Rights
The Preamble to the Bill of Rights explicitly states that these amendments to the Constitution were put in place to restrain the federal government and discourage abuse. Ratified Dec. 15, 1791, it reads:
THE Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution.

I am a registered Independent. I am told daily that there are only two candidates in the race for president. Nevermind that there are still other candidates that will be on the voting ticket. You may ask; why so much disdain for the Dem vs. Republican race? Well, both parties have been morphed into a strange hybrid.
Fact is: The two candidates being pushed daily by mainstream media are essentially the same candidate. The U.S has dozens of political parties. The Canadian government has close to 20.
What has happened to our system in that we are only told to choose from a very narrow 2 party system controlled both by the same corporate lobbyists? Has the race for presidency become just another entertaining spectacle? While the real decisions are made behind closed doors?

Wednesday, August 1, 2012 will remain infamous for its proclamation by the people of Chick-Fil-A Day. A protest directed at gay rights activists and the Mayor of Chicago who has illegally threatened to stop Chick-Fil-A from doing business in the area.
This support for Chick-Fil-A has exploded from Coast to Coast and has become a support for freedom of speech and religion. In the picture to the left, you can see the support for Chick-Fil-A at ground zero of this controversy in Chicago, Illinios.

The ideological brand of so-called progress that we call “collectivism” relies heavily on the notion that the values of the past are inadequate to the requirements of the future. We are taught by the peddlers of collectivist propaganda that our beliefs and our principles must evolve along with the perceived growth of our species as a whole. They see themselves as visionaries and prophets foretelling a grand reinvention of the world that we laymen are unequipped to imagine or understand. We cling to the old ways because we are “afraid of change”, or too ignorant to fathom the beauty of their Utopian beyond…

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Americans’ confidence in television news is at a new low by one percentage point, with 21% of adults expressing a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in it. This marks a decline from 27% last year and from 46% when Gallup started tracking confidence in television news in 1993.
The findings are from Gallup’s annual update on confidence in U.S. institutions, conducted June 7-10 this year. As such, the findings preceded the erroneous initial reports by cable-news networks CNN and Fox News regarding the U.S. Supreme Court’s June 28 decision about the constitutionality of the U.S. healthcare law.

This year’s Index of Dependence on Government presented startling findings about the sharp increase of Americans who rely on the federal government for housing, food, income, student aid or other assistance. (See last week’s chart.)
Another eye-popping number was the percentage of Americans who don’t pay income taxes, which now accounts for nearly half of the U.S. population. Meanwhile, most of that population receives generous federal benefits.
“One of the most worrying trends in the Index is the coinciding growth in the non-taxpaying public,” wrote Heritage authors Bill Beach and Patrick Tyrrell. “The percentage of people who do not pay federal income taxes, and who are not claimed as dependents by someone who does pay them, jumped from 14.8 percent in 1984 to 49.5 percent in 2009.”
That means 151.7 million Americans paid nothing in 2009. By comparison, 34.8 million tax filers paid no taxes in 1984.

If you thought that either toothpaste or red meats laced with sodium nitrate were the most dangerous things at the grocery store, then you should guess again.
People do not typically swallow gum, and thus they give very little attention to their ingredients. After all, if it is not swallowed, then ingredients should not be a concern, right? Wrong. The ingredients in gum go into the bloodstream faster and in higher concentrations than food ingredients, because they are absorbed straight through the walls of the mouth, and they will not undergo the normal filtration process of digestion.
